Summary

The Andrew & Betsy Wyeth Study Center (WSC) is a research and collections care facility on the second floor of the Brandywine Museum of Art, centered on more than three thousand works of art by Andrew Wyeth, plus important holdings of rare books and archival materials. Ongoing work of the WSC includes local and national exhibition development, publications, collection digitization, supporting researchers, and the development of the Andrew Wyeth Catalogue Raisonné.

The Wyeth Study Center Intern will have the opportunity to contribute to upcoming exhibition projects, as well as developing key skills of museum work including print and digital records management, rehousing archival materials, historical research, and public communications.

This internship requires on-site work in Chadds Ford, PA but also has some work from home opportunities.

Eligibility

During the summer, Brandywine Museum of Art seeks undergraduate or graduate students with an interest in American art and the Brandywine Valley’s arts and cultural community for experiential learning opportunities.

Experience in researching, writing, and/or handling art is desired. Self-motivation and the ability to work on aspects of projects independently is required.


Compensation

$3,500 stipend

The Museum’s outstanding Brandywine Collection is a cross-section of American art, with a special focus on artistic practice in the Brandywine Valley.
