Summary
The Interaction Design Intern will work closely with the Lead Interactive Media Designer as part of the Interactive Media Team to develop digital-interactive experiences for upcoming Museum exhibits. This role spans the full design cycle, from early brainstorming and user-experience planning through wireframing, high-fidelity design, and coordination with in-house software developers. The intern will contribute to digital experiences that extend beyond screens, including VR and hybrid-modality interactives, while collaborating within a multidisciplinary creative team.

Eligibility
- Completion of at least three years of undergraduate coursework (summer following junior year preferred).
- Preferred majors include Interactive Media Design, Visual Communication Design, Graphic Design, User Interface Design, or a closely related field.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, and Audition, as well as Figma.
- Strong typographic practice and visual design skills.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a creative team and explain design thinking to non-design colleagues.
- Portfolio demonstrating exploration, curiosity, and design process required.
- Ability and availability to work on-site.
- Availability to work approximately 25 hours per week is preferred.
Compensation
$15 per hour
