Summary
The Marketing Intern position is designed to immerse the student in every facet of marketing for the MFAH. Each of the 11 members of the team will share their areas of expertise in one-on-one sessions with the Intern. The team meets twice a week for round table updates and to create the overall production schedule that guides efforts.
The Intern will be assigned to a fall or winter exhibition and will assist with developing a full campaign, including creation of a target audience, recommending a paid advertising campaign, choosing images and steering graphic design, as well as working on promotional events or social media possibilities.

Dates of Internship: June 1 – August 7, 2026
Schedule: The internship will comprise 350 hours of work (35 hours per week for 10 weeks), running from June 1 through August 7, 2026. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (with an hour-long lunch).

Eligibility
- Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, art history, or museum studies is preferred.
- Prior related experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong creative force, with ability to integrate into a team of doers
- Strong writer who can finesse language with wit and style
- Strong visual thinker
- Deadline driven
- Detail oriented, with a passion for double-checking
- Tech-savvy, with ease in using various platforms and software
- High EQ skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and leadership
- Passion for art is a strong plus
Compensation
$15 per hour
