Summary
Curatorial interns will gain an international, national, and local perspective of traditional and contemporary Mexican and Latinx/a/o/e art through researching artists, helping with exhibition proposals, assisting with exhibition archives, writing for exhibition didactics, writing for various exhibitions and programs, and general departmental support. In Spring 2026, Mexic-Arte Museum will prepare for projects such two fall exhibitions, the Curatorial intern will assist with the preparation of these exhibits (research, exhibit text, exhibit layout, other).

- Term: 10 weeks (June 17 – August 28, 2026)
- Schedule: 10 hours per week (Monday–Thursday 9 am-6 pm and Friday 9 am–5 pm).

Eligibility
Requirements:
- Strong research and writing skills
- Skill in managing several projects simultaneously
- Skill in effective verbal communication
- Skill in with civic or community engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a museum or gallery setting
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Education: Enrolled as an undergraduate student in an Associate or Bachelor’s program for Art History, Studio Art, Museum studies, or a related field.
Compensation
$22 per hour
