Summary

The Whitney seeks a Curatorial – Latinx Art intern for the Fall 2026 semester.

Expected Projects & Assignments:

  • Assist with exhibition planning for projects focused on Latinx art
  • Prepare checklists, presentations, and other exhibition-related materials
  • Assist with research and administrative tasks related to permanent collection stewardship, acquisitions, and upcoming exhibitions

Key Details

Compensation: $3,000 stipend

Term: Fall 2026 (September 15 – December 5, 2026)

Schedule: PT (16–21 hours/week)

Format: The internship is hybrid, with some onsite work.

Deadline: 08/14/2026 (*all applicants will be considered on a rolling basis)


Eligibility

Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in contemporary art history; knowledge of and interest in Latinx art is preferred
  • Previous research experience required
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Undergraduates currently enrolled in accredited academic year programs are eligible
  • Applicants must have completed a minimum of one year’s worth of academic coursework; undergraduate freshmen are not eligible
  • While a demonstrated interest in art and art history is preferred, students in all majors are encouraged to apply
  • Previous museum experience is not required
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
