Summary
ADAA is seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Communications & Digital Marketing Intern to support the organization’s communications and digital marketing initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience across social media, digital content creation, website management, email marketing, and event communications.
Reporting to the Communications & Digital Manager, the intern will work closely with ADAA staff across communications, membership, and programming initiatives. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong visual sensibilities, an interest in digital storytelling, and enthusiasm for the visual arts. This position is well suited for students interested in arts administration, communications, marketing, journalism, media production, or nonprofit management.

Compensation: $18 per hour
Term: July 27 – December, 2026 (exact start date to be determined)
Schedule: PT (Approximately 15–20 hours per week)

Eligibility
Education: Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate in communications, marketing, journalism, arts administration, art history, or a related field.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Availability to work approximately 16-20 hours per week per week from July 27 – December 18, 2026, including full availability to be onsite during the run of the ADAA Fair, November 12-16, 2026.
- Excellent written, proofreading, organizational, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital marketing best practices.
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or similar photo/video editing software is preferred.
- Experience with Mailchimp or similar email marketing platforms is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and cloud-based file sharing platforms.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
- Demonstrated interest in the visual arts, museums, galleries, or nonprofit arts organizations.
