Summary
The 2026 CCI + Women Photographers International Archive (WOPHA) Fellowship Fellowship is open to emerging and mid-career women and nonbinary photographers from the Caribbean or its diaspora. During the fellowship period, the selected CCI + WOPHA Fellow will focus on the production of a new body of work or on expanding an ongoing project. Together, CCI + WOPHA will provide institutional support as well as access to their curatorial resources and networks. The fellow will be able to develop their photographic practice through research, mentorship and engagement with the local art community.* The CCI + WOPHA Fellowship also offers opportunities for collaboration with Green Space Miami and active engagement with the academic community at FIU-LACC.
The 2026 CCI + WOPHA Fellowship will run from September through November and follow a hybrid format combining in-person and remote participation. The Fellowship will include a residency period in Miami at El Espacio 23 during the month of September. The CCI + WOPHA Fellow will receive a stipend and production funds of up to $4,000 depending upon the needs of the project. If the selected fellow is not currently based in Miami, CCI + WOPHA will provide round-trip airfare to Miami.

The Green Family Foundation Caribbean Cultural Institute (CCI) is a curatorial and research platform at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) that promotes the art of the Caribbean and its diasporas through scholarship, exhibitions, fellowships, public programs, and collection development. Building on PAMM’s longstanding engagement with the region, these initiatives strengthen and enrich the museum’s collection, while fostering knowledge production, exchanges, and collaborations with diverse communities and organizations in Miami and abroad. The CCI aims to transform the approach toward the appreciation and understanding of Caribbean art across linguistic regions.
