Summary

Housed within the Museum Services Department, the Museum’s editorial team is responsible for ensuring factual storytelling and consistent style throughout the Museum and on its internal and public platforms. Among the department’s key responsibilities are writing and curating Museum exhibitions, in collaboration with other Museum Services staff; planning and hosting Museum programs, in collaboration with public programming staff; and collaborating with the Museum’s Creative, Education, Marketing, and Public Relations departments.

  • Term: 12 weeks (September 16 – December 11, 2026)
  • Schedule: 25 hours per week
  • Interview Period: Tuesday, July 7 – Tuesday, July 28
  • Positions Offered: Week of August 3

Eligibility

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled, credit-seeking, and/or degree-seeking undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in journalism, English, history, or a related field

Preferred Requirements

  • Knowledge of and an interest in music, particularly country music
  • Strong writing, organizational, and communication skills, and an ability to work independently

Conditions of Internship:

  • Occasional evening and/or weekend events possible, if interested

Compensation

$15 per hour (undergraduate); $18 per hour (graduate)
