Summary

The Information Technology Intern will support the Museum’s Information Technology team on two primary initiatives: implementing a policy management software solution and providing operational IT support. This internship offers hands-on experience working with IT staff and Museum departments to standardize and deploy policies, assist with a laptop refresh, and troubleshoot help desk tickets while gaining exposure to day-to-day IT operations in a large, complex organization.

Eligibility

  • Jr or above standing and currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Experience working with a variety of software applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technically proficient and non-technical users.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic computer hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with standard software, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with technical writing related to governance, policies, or procedures preferred.
  • Previous experience with IT support or help desk work preferred, but not required.

Compensation

$15 per hour
