Summary
The Knowledge & Legacy (Archives) Intern will have both staff and LCPA act as mentors for upcoming information professionals. The interns should also expect to leave with experience managing and cataloging files of performance events at LCPA.
Responsibilities:
- Work in tandem with the Digital Archivist to catalog events and images in the DAM (Digital Asset Management) system
- Add metadata tags to images to improve find-ability
- Learn how to better understand the challenges in organizing digital materials
- Research older LCPA events for inclusion in our DAM system
- Organize, inventory, and digitize image assets from the LCPA Archives
- Attend department meetings & support the team with additional long-term projects
Key Details
Program Overview: The Lincoln Center Summer Internship is a paid, 10-week, in-person arts administration internship for NYC undergraduate students passionate about the performing arts. This program cultivates the next generation of leaders in the field by providing on-the-job experience and professional development opportunities.

Eligibility
- Attending a Library/Information Science or Museum Studies graduate or undergraduate degree program
- You are a rising college junior, or senior, or equivalent
- You are based in New York City or the Greater New York region
- You are available 35 hours/week from June 2026– August 2026
- It would be a plus if you have some experience in the following:
- Library work and organization
- Museum, Art Gallery, or archival experience
- Experience with or interest in digital asset management systems
- General computer proficiency with Microsoft suite
- Be comfortable with multi-tasking on various projects in the Knowledge & Legacy group
- You identify as both a self-starter and a dynamic team player
- You exemplify leadership, teamwork, organization, innovation, resilience, inclusivity, and enthusiasm
- You champion diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility
Compensation
$25 per hour
