MoMA Teens-in-Residence (2026–27)

Website The Museum of Modern Art

Summary

MoMA Teens-in-Residence is a paid enrichment program for NYC high school students in grades 10 through 12 that offers a deep dive into the inner workings of an art museum and the broader art world.

Each week, teen residents connect with artists and museum professionals, participate in hands-on workshops, and help plan public programs—all while exploring the role of art and museums in their communities. From leading gallery experiences to developing interpretive text and audio, teen residents gain real-world experience, build essential skills like communication and creative thinking, and meaningfully support MoMA’s Learning and Engagement initiatives. The program creates pathways for teens to actively contribute to MoMA, fostering college preparedness, workplace readiness, and career exploration.
