Summary
The Museum Internship provides a paid, immersive opportunity to undergraduate or graduate students looking for training and hands-on projects in small museums. Responsibilities will encompass all areas of museum work including guest services, education, programming, events, tours, collections, and exhibitions. The internship requires students to complete one major project fulfilling credit requirements for their specific program and aligning with the Museums’ needs and students’ interests.
Key Details
This internship is 10-13 weeks with 40-hours a week. Start and end dates will vary based on semester start and end dates.

Eligibility
- Enrollment in a public history, museums, history, cultural resource management, or related program as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Completion of at least three courses in public history, museums, or American history.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel. Experience with PastPerfect is preferred.
- 6 months of guest interaction or front-facing services: retail, food service, reception, or similar work.
- OR 3 months of volunteer, internship, or paid work at a public history organization.
- Fluency in Spanish is compensated based on proficiency measurement from the American Council of the Teaching of Foreign Languages structure.
Compensation
$20–$23 per hour

The Frisco Historic Park & Museum’s collection of original historic buildings, including the Schoolhouse Museum, contains artifacts, exhibits, and photographs tell the lively stories of Frisco’s past and reflect the Summit County philosophy of embracing history while also connecting it to our lives today.
