Summary

The Post-Baccalaureate Fellow in Museum Education will be considered a professional member of the Museum’s education staff. Under the supervision of the Curator of Education, the Fellow will research works of art, develop interpretation materials, and deliver community programs. The Fellow will also work on other projects related to Museum Education and Interpretation. Ongoing professional development provided by our experienced Museum staff and professionals within the field ensures that the Education Fellow leaves the program with extensive experience teaching and programming for a variety of audiences, and with a completed professional teaching portfolio.

Schedule: 32 hours per week

Eligibility

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Studio art education, art education, museum studies, art history or related field
  • A valid driver’s license and access to or ownership of a car is necessary for weekly offsite programs

Compensation

$20 per hour

The Trout Gallery is the art museum of Dickinson College. As a teaching museum, The Trout Gallery promotes curiosity, collaboration, and understanding through active engagement with communities, ideas, and artworks. It serves the students, faculty and staff, and alumni of Dickinson College; the residents of the Carlisle-Central Pennsylvania area and their visitors; and the broader academic and artistic communities.
