Summary

The National Museum of Asian Art invites applications for its eight-week, paid Summer Undergraduate Internship Program. Designed for current undergraduate students with little to no previous museum experience, the program introduces interns to museum work in general and matches you with a team that fits your interests, giving you hands-on projects, experienced mentors, and a front-row seat to the museum world—all while diving into the art and cultures of Asia.

  • Time Commitment & Location: Commitment to the full-time, 8-week, on-site internship in Washington, DC, from June 15 to August 7, 2026 (40 hours per week).
  • Notification Date: Applicants will be formally notified of the decision by Friday, March 27, 2026

Eligibility

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and enrolled in an undergraduate institution at the time of application to be considered for this internship.


Compensation

The internship provides a total stipend of $7,200. Please note that housing, benefits, and transportation are not included
