Summary
The EH&S (Environmental Health and Safety) program at the Museum of Science ensures the health, safety, and well-being of staff, visitors, and the environment. The Workplace Health & Safety Intern will help maintain the day-to-day aspects of the EH&S program and learn the ins and outs of how to implement a program that benefits diverse groups and individuals in a dynamic workplace.

Schedule: Onsite, Mondays – Fridays. 7:30am – 4:00pm

Eligibility
- Collaboration and Community: Able to collaborate effectively with team members and to clearly and effectively communicate policies, procedures, and updates in a relatable and professional manner.
- Commitment to Excellence and Integrity: Familiar with EH&S laws, policies, and regulations; able to demonstrate attention to detail; able to analyze data trends; and knowledgeable in supporting and managing workplace safety issues with a commitment to maintaining a safe and joyful place for science exploration.
- Creativity and Innovation: Able to work independently, take initiative, and enact effective and innovative action plans and mitigation strategies to address safety challenges.
- Alignment with Museum Values: Capable of assisting with public health or environmental projects, sustainability programs, and construction expansions that advance the Museum’s mission.
- Please note we are prioritizing candidates that are able to stay on with us for the Summer, Fall, and Spring Semesters.
Compensation
$19 per hour
